August Newsletter 2025
Dear Residents,
Hope you are enjoying the beautiful summer weather. We just completed our annual Farmers Summerfest Festival, and what a great festival it was! We had wonderful crowds for all the events, including an impressive fireworks display on Saturday night.
Sunday’s Car Show was held at the recreation park this year, along with several other fun activities throughout the day. A big thank you to Festival Chairlady Shelia McBride and the entire Festival Committee for their hard work and dedication. Be sure to check out one of the remaining music performances at the Band Shell this season!
A few changes in Village Ordinances have taken place in recent months. Please visit the Village website for updates. Blight continues to be a concern for many residents, and complaints have been brought to the Village Council. Please do your part in keeping our community clean and beautiful. Tickets with stiffer fines are being issued for non-compliance.
Also, a reminder that campfires are not permitted before 6:00 p.m. Absolutely no garbage, building materials, grass, or leaves may be burned on your property. Violations will result in tickets and increased fines.
Congratulations to all girls’ softball, baseball, and tee ball teams on successful seasons! Thank you to the Little League board of volunteers for all you do for the kids.
Our Summer Recreation Program just wrapped up another successful year. A heartfelt thanks to Thumb Bluewater Youth for Christ and Scheurer Healthcare for your tremendous dedication and support.
Wishing you a safe and enjoyable rest of your summer!
Have a great rest of your summer,
Mike LePage
Village President
