February Newsletter 2024

Dear Residents,

As the calendar turns to February and we enjoy the unusually mild weather, we are reminded that we still have at least 6 weeks of winter. Please remember to keep vehicles off the streets at night as snow can appear anytime.

I am pleased to report that the financial standing of your Village remains very strong. This allows us to continue infrastructure improvements to our Village streets, water, and sewer systems. The Village has been on an every-other-year major improvement project schedule. In fiscal 2024, Berne Street which runs alongside the Cooperative Elevator Company with be completely rebuilt. This will include water and sewer piping to all residents along Berne Street, and all new street resurfacing. This project will be completed in partnership with the Winsor Township and the Cooperative Elevator Company. No long-term debt will be needed to complete the project. This project will be completed before the fall of 20204. Many other small improvements will also be made in 2024.

Questions or comments are always welcomed by your Village Council on any Village-related issues. Call the Village office or please attend a Village Council meeting on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7 p.m. Enjoy the rest of the winter, and hopefully an early spring.

Sincerely,
Mike LePage
Village President
