December Newsletter 2023

Dear Residents,

As 2023 comes to an end, we look back on many accomplishments within the village. Our main streets in town, West Michigan Avenue and South Main Street were repaved by the State of Michigan at no cost to residents. Our main Municipal parking lot was re-constructed and paved in a joint project with the Pigeon Lions Club and the Village. An additional 65’ of the parking lot was acquired by the Village at the Pigeon Events Center. Base material was used from the Municipal Parking Lot project to construct the additional parking lot at the Event Center.

Thanks to the General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Pigeon who donated brick pavers at the Veterans Park to be installed as a walkway to the Veterans monument. They also donated two benches that will be installed in the spring.

Our main project for 2024 will be reconstruction of Berne Street from E. Michigan Avenue to the VIllage limits. It will be a joint project with the Village of Pigeon, Winsor Township, and the Cooperative Elevator Company. A project timeline will be announced in the spring.

The Village Council would like to extend best wishes for a great Holiday Season, and a Happy and Healthy New Year to all Pigeon residents.

Sincerely,
Michael LePage
Village President

Snow Removal

To make the job of snow removal, go as smoothly as possible, please do not put your trash in the street and if possible, please wait to set your trash out until after the plows have passed. If you have a portable basketball hoop out by the street, please move it back so the plows do not hit them.

Police Parking Reminder

No parking on village streets between 2am and 6am. Violators will be ticketed.
