August Newsletter 2023

Dear Residents,

We hope you are enjoying your summer. Our 50th Farmers Summerfest was a huge success. Thanks to the Festival Committee headed up by Shelia McBride and Linda Walsh, and all the volunteers that make it happen.

MDOT completed the paving of West Michigan Avenue and South Main Street in time for the festival. What an improvement of our main streets. Our Municipal Parking Lot project has been delayed due to pulverizing equipment availability. Our contractor is looking at late August - early September for work to be completed.

Sidewalk work is still scheduled for this summer. Along with that, brick pavers will be laid as a walkway to the Veteran’s Memorial at Veterans Park adjacent to the Pigeon Event Center. The brick pavers were donated to the GFWC (General Federation of Women’s Clubs). Two benches will also be provided by the club. Work will begin in September.

Enjoy the rest of your summer,

Sincerely,
Michael LePage
Village President
