June Newsletter 2025
Dear Residents,
Welcome, Summer! The sounds of baseball, softball, tee ball, pickleball, and tennis are in the air as our community comes alive with activity.
Congratulations to the Pigeon Little League on hosting another successful tournament this past weekend. With 65 teams and an estimated 5,000 visitors in town, it was a tremendous turnout. A heartfelt thank-you goes out to all the volunteers who made this event such a success for our community.
Beginning the week of June 2, the State of Michigan—through EGLE and MDHHS—will begin conducting random water testing in the area. Village DPW employees will assist in this effort, which is part of an ongoing study with the City of Caseville and Caseville Township to investigate summer water discoloration. We’ll share findings as they become available.
While no major street projects are planned for this summer, a drain project will take place between Paul Street and North Main Street. We also continue fundraising efforts for the future playscape at Recreation Park.
Thank you to everyone who submitted names and attended our Memorial Day Service. Be sure to stop by Veterans Park to see the new flagpole, proudly dedicated in memory of Ted Leipprandt.
Enjoy your summer.
Sincerely,
Michael LePage
Village President
